Big Brother – Sunday, September 2nd – Nominations

Well, we start off by seeing the conclusion of Thursday’s HOH game.  My prediction is that it will last less than 1.5 hours, as Jenn and Joe had already fallen off before the live show ended.  I wonder what Joe’s punishment will be?  I am hoping it’s a week of silence.  We will see if Ian can hold on in order to exact his revenge on Frank.  Jenn?  Who are you?  You aren’t a big player.  You aren’t making big moves.  There isn’t as big of a target on you as others, so get over yourself!  Well, Joe’s punishment is he has to do some kind of hula-hoop camp when he hears a song.
5 hours before the eviction episode, Ian goes to Dan and tells him he is still working on making the Quack Pack alliance work.  He wants to work with them to the end, and Dan says that he will do whatever he can to protect them.  However, Dan goes to the DR, and says that he is only concerned about himself.  I really thought that he would stay with Frank until the end.  Let’s hope for his sake that he can win.  Danielle was the third to fall in the HOH competition, and few minutes later Dan falls off as well.  It’s down to just Ian and Shane.  If Shane doesn’t win this competition, I feel like he will be safe.  Ian wants to win this one, so that he can secure his place for the week, and make some new alliance members if needed.  Ian seems to be calm, cool and collected as he is annoying the other HGs with random space facts.  He starts leaning away from the comet, and he tries to avoid it at all costs.  Close to the two-hour mark, Shane asks the other HGs to go inside, so that he can talk to Ian alone.  Shane secured his and Danielle’s safety by throwing the competition to Ian.  Now that Ian has won HOH, Dan is quick to confess that he doesn’t want to work with Jenn or Frank anymore.  He says being on both sides will help him, but that’s how Britney was evicted last week.
I truly want to root for Frank, but he is loyal to a fault.  Joe tells Frank that Ian might go after Dan this week, and Frank says that would be good, but he wouldn’t throw Dan under the bus.  Danielle is still infatuated with Shane.  I thought she was over this.  She holds him in a high regard as he worked a deal with Ian to save them both this week.  Then Jenn further perpetuates her hopes by telling her that Shane referenced her as her girlfriend last week.  Since BB didn’t show a clip of him afterward, I am going to assume it’s not true.  Poor Danielle.  Hopefully she won’t be so blinded by love that she will be evicted.
No wonder Ian never made it further with Ashley.  He is such a nerd.  He showed more affection for that element than he ever did for her.  Also, I learned something new.  Bismuth is used in Pepto-Bismol.  The more you know, knowledge is power, etc….  Frank tries to cut a deal with Ian, and they talk about trust.  Ian helped evict Boogie, and Frank helped evict Britney.  Ian may be better off working with Frank.  He could put up Joe and Jenn, and say he is going to backdoor Frank.  This way he can gain some trust with Frank, and still be in good with the Quack Pack.  I want to take this time to reiterate something I said earlier.  This game changes in a blink of an eye.  In this case, you should never be cutting deals during endurance HOH competitions, you should be having deals cut with you.  If Frank does convince Ian in the end, Shane and Danielle might have to go on the block.  Although, Ian did say that anyone would be stupid by keeping Frank in the game last week, so we will see how it plays out.
Pandora’s Box is back!  This is so exciting!  The rules apply as last time, and this time Ian gets to make this decision.  There is a Christmas tree and lots of presents waiting to tempt him.  No matter where I was at during this game, I would ALWAYS open Pandora’s Box!  Ian does what everyone wants him to, and he decides to open it up.  He gets to open and keep all the presents while enjoying milk and cookies.  Of course the punishment for the other HGs is dealing with Jessie in a Santa clad banana hammock.  Not only does he dole out health foods, but he also strips the house of their junk food.  This is necessary to have a ‘Pectacular’ Christmas party.  Ian has the nerdiest time of his life by unwrapping Lego’s, rock making kits, and a telescope.  He also wins $1000, and decides to keep this a secret from the other HGs.  I wonder if all that food Jessie collected will go to a good cause.
Dan talks to Ian, and they both agree with each other.  They want to maybe keep Frank safe.  They are both trying to cut deals with him, and since Frank can’t compete in next week’s HOH, they aren’t as worried about him.  Who knew that not being able to play in an HOH would work out so well for Frank?  If he can keep himself off the block this week, he deserves to win this game!  In the end, Ian ends up nominating both Frank and Jenn.  Ultimately, this is a good move, and Ian should be scared that Frank will win POV this week.  I am so over Jenn though, and I would be happy to see her go home.
What do you think?  Does Dan need to worry about having too many alliances in a game of 8?  Will the double eviction on Thursday throw everyone’s game off balance? Let me know!
