Big Brother – Sunday, August 19th – Nominations

As we approach Fall TV season, I want to send out a friendly reminder to all of my followers to extend their Sunday night recordings by an hour or two if they can.  You never know when a football game will run long!
Well, I will say I am excited that we get to see the conclusion of the endurance HOH competition.  This week is looking to be full of drama, suspense and deceit, which BB is so good at doling out!  Julie promised a double eviction Thursday night, which possibly means that they will have a week full of games in one hour!
We left the competition Thursday with Boogie being an arrogant jerk by choosing to fill the $10,000 jar.  As I predicted, Frank didn’t seem too happy that he wasn’t fighting for their safety.  I have had time to contemplate over the weekend, and I really want Frank to be safe this week.  I hope that Boogie can go home soon, as I cannot stand him.  After Wil was evicted, Joe showed some emotion in the DR, and it proved to be a somber experience for him.  I am just glad he wasn’t screaming!
Who knew she had it in her?
Well, it looks like Ian, Jenn, and Ashley are struggling with this competition.  I wonder if Ashley still is having back problems?  Dan, Britney, Jenn and Joe are competing for safety.  However, Britney made quick work of filling that jug, and that put the other competitors in a bind.  Jenn said she has to sweat it out another week, but that’s the first I have heard from her in a long while.  Is it possible she will float her way to the end?  Although I think that BB made it seem like Dan and Danielle were closer, than they really were, I have to give credit when it is due. They really put up a great fight for HOH this week.  However, Shane wins HOH, and Frank and Boogie are confident in their Silent Six alliance.
Ian is such a loyal member of the Quack Pack alliance.  As soon as he had the opportunity, he let’s Britney know of a conversation that took place before the live show.  Boogie recommended that Ian should put up Britney and Shane if he were to win HOH.  Boogie’s arrogance will be the downfall of him this season.  If he were truly worried about nominations this week, he should have fought for the coveted position.  Britney and Ian convince the other three Quack Packers that it has to be Frank and Boogie to land on the chopping block.
Joe is crazy.  That is all.
Love Hurts!
Since Ashley was stepping out on Ian last week, Ian decides that he might want to finally have that DTR moment with Ashley.  He invites her on a date, and I hope he comes up with something better than a dinner of slop.  The best quote of the night came from Ian when he channeled his inner Rachel.  “Ain’t nobody getting between me and my flirtmance!”  To better prepare himself for his date, Ian decides to take some manscaping advice from Shane.  With the help of Britney, Danielle and Ashley, he gets rid of some of his unsightly armpit hairs…make that all of his hair.  I have a newfound respect for people in this industry.  I take it back, if Ian could have mustered some confidence from the first slop date, maybe he could have secured a make out session of his own.  The hot topics of conversation included what they had for lunch, bathroom schedules, and whether or not they should eat the last piece of pizza.
Shane makes a pretty good move by trying to secure his votes before he puts up Boogie and Frank.  This is great for a couple of reasons.  1. Frank will probably win POV.   2. ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP PLAN!
After some relaxing time in the sun, Frank discovers a plastic ball trail, which leads to the claw machine.  Inside the game, there was a box with a question mark at the bottom of the pit.  Just like Ian, I automatically think of Pandora’s box, but Britney and Shane think it could mean something bigger.  Now, this has put doubt in Shane’s mind, that it might not be a great week to go after Frank and Boogie. Is this just a hint of double eviction?  I personally think Pandora’s box is the most likely scenario.
Although, Shane made the right decision for putting up Frank and Boogie, I am hoping Frank can cut a deal or win POV.  I will agree with Boogie on one point, that HOH speech was ridiculous.  #BoogieStillSucks
Thoughts?  Are you worried/excited about the possibility of Pandora's Box this week?  Do you think it means something else?
