My first entry
will be about my favorite summer time obsession/guilty pleasure. Big
Brother has everything from lying, backstabbing, shady dealings, and seedy back
alley transactions. Yes, I get most of my lingo from the 1960’s, but I
digress. Let’s begin!
I am convinced
that during live shows you can always tell who is going home by what the
nominees are wearing. Everyone who thinks they are being evicted usually
dress up, and the other nominee has gym clothes on ready to compete in the next
HOH. This is definitely not a steadfast rule as JoJo kind of looked
trashy on her eviction night. Well, Janelle looks like she is definitely
ready for the live eviction, and I am sure she wants redemption from being
without makeup and an unwashed face after the Veto ceremony. Also, since
Frank is required to wear the spiritard, I can’t tell if he is about to leave.
So this episode
begins with the shock that Janelle has just been nominated. I love Wil’s
(that’s right Wil with one L), DR moments. He is just so happy to be
taken off the block, and his BFF Patrice will have to feed and water his
damn cat for another week.
Danielle then
begins her rant on how her plan is the best idea ever! I can’t stand her
or Shane as their former coaches are clearly manipulating them. This is
why America thinks it’s unfair when players from BB past get to come in this
season. Janelle then takes Danielle to the HOH room to let her know that
she is clearly being manipulated. She shows no remorse for putting
Janelle up, and Dan said it the best last night that Danielle and Brittany are
clearly threatened by Janelle. Janelle is a strong competitor, but
Danielle obviously doesn’t remember Dan and Boogie actually winning the
game. Danielle then says in the DR that Janelle is going home, which
makes me wonder if she has secured the votes.
Good ol Dan then
comes up to reassure his puppet that she made the right decision. Oh, she
is so dumb. Almost as dumb as Shane, however this is a discussion for
another day. Dan then tries to play dumb (I am convinced that it’s not
really an act anymore) by assuring Janelle that she is not going home. If
Dan thinks that Boogie is going to save him in the long run, he is sadly mistaken.
This whole Silent Six alliance is doomed from the beginning. Their ridiculous
"Ssshhhh" mantra is ridiculous. Janelle, like a true All-Star, then tries
to secure all of her votes. She definitely works the house, which makes
me think that she is about to pack her bags. My
prediction is that Ashley and Joe will be her only votes to keep her. If
the other players were smart, they would realize that Janelle is their best bet
to stay in the house. Brittany then realizes a little too late that she
actually might be making a bad decision, and she starts crying! There’s
no crying in Big Brother! Then she runs to the DR and says this
game is so hard because she has to lie and backstab people. Funny, she
didn’t feel this way during her season when her all male alliance (The
Brigade!) was doing all the dirty work.
Now, this is the
time where Julie talks to the HGs. Usually, you get the bland, PC answers
because people cannot be honest in front of everyone else. The fact that
Boogie seems confident tonight, leads me to believe that he probably has the
votes to secure his home skillet Frank. It’s funny that his strategy for
all 3 seasons is to attach himself to the best competitor. I hate to say
it, but if Frank stays, Boogie will probably make it to the final 4….
The best
punishment in the BB world is the fact that Ian voluntarily chose to be a dog
for 24 hours. I will admit that at the beginning of the season, I thought Ian
was extremely weird, and that he would be kicked out in the first few
weeks. However, these past few weeks, and the interview with his family
have renewed my faith that he could go all the way. I love how Ashley’s
mom tries to defend her daughter’s intelligence (or lack thereof). She isn’t fooling
anyone, and my prediction for this year is that she is going to be mentioned on
the news for sending $1000 to her long lost uncle who is an Arabian Prince.
At this point, I
am still convinced that Janelle is going home no matter how much CBS tries to
show us that Janelle has secured the votes. Another one of my “for sure signs a
person is going home” is it’s all about their attitude in their final
speeches. Frank has a sort of serious/lighthearted speech, and it buoys
my spirits that he actually might go home! Stay classy, Frank! I
don’t want him to go now, but if it means Janelle can stay a few more weeks, I
am down for that. If Frank does stay his humor will definitely take him
far! Janelle gave the classic vote for me if you think it will
help your game play speech. This is my third “for sure signs a
person is going home” rule. She is definitely a goner! For those at home
here is how the vote went down:
1.
Boogie:
Janelle – I hate him so much
2.
Jenn:
Janelle – Although it appears she almost said Frank…
3.
Joe:
Frank – I am glad he hasn’t been featured as much this episode as I would
probably be deaf during his DR
4.
Wil:
Janelle
5.
Ashley:
Janelle – I am actually really pissed that she didn’t vote to keep her. I
know she probably doesn’t want to go against the house, (at least that will be
her excuse on Sunday) but seriously?!? I honestly don’t like being wrong,
and I want to retract the fact that I said she would save Janelle earlier.
6.
Brittany:
Janelle – Her eviction vote was kind of convoluted, and I hope she goes next
week. That will teach her to trust Boogie.
7.
Shane:
Janelle - I am surprised he made it to the DR.
8.
Dan:
Janelle – He didn’t try hard enough to keep Janelle. I hate Dan!
9.
Ian:
Janelle
I am really sad
to see Janelle go, and I know that arrogant Boogie will be so annoying in his
DR on Sunday. At least she took Frank’s advice to stay classy.
Okay, so I don’t know who @CHOLLETT78 is, but I am calling him/her out.
Boogie is not a genius, he is just a washed up old man with gential
warts. I don’t know if you knew this little gem, but he went to his pal
Dr. Will to have it removed. Granted, he probably did it because he
doesn’t have any money, and he could get some more of that 15 minutes if he did
it on Dr. 90210. Maybe Janelle can come back later this season…this is
definitely just wishful thinking. During her interview, she seems a
little different than years past. I wish she had caused more drama before
she left, but she obviously thought she was going to stay. She did say it
best when she called Boogie a loser after his goodbye message, and who knew
that the term douche bag couldn’t be said on live television!
HOH COMPETITION!! This is the part that is
the most nerve wracking. I am hoping that Wil, Ashley or Joe will
win this one. I think they are the only people who might actually get rid
of Boogie. This competition involves songs being played describing a past
competition. The first player to ring in with the correct answer will
advance to the next round, and they will pick the next two adversaries until
there is only one person standing. I love these types of competitions, as
there is always a line drawn to see who is really in the same alliance.
However, since this is a competition based on memory, I am going to rule out
Ashley, Joe, Shane, and Jenn right from the beginning, so my hopes of Janelle
being avenged this week are looking pretty slim. Here is a breakdown of
the rounds.
ROUND 1: Wil vs. Jenn – This took them way too
long! Maybe I could hear it better, but I new the song was describing the
first HOH competition. Remember that one player who left on the first
night…? Yeah neither do I. Wil rang in correctly first, so he
advances on. He chooses Joe and Boogie to go up next.
ROUND 2: Joe vs Boogie – As Danielle from season
8 would say, SHOCKER! Boogie wins and forces Wil to go up against
Ashley.
ROUND 3: Ashley vs Wil – OMG Ashley rang in so
quickly, and she was right! Oh, and then she quickly disappoints by not
really understanding the whole picking the next two people bit.
ROUND 4: Shane vs Brittany – Brittany was the
first to ring in, and then Shane rings in with the wrong answer. Then
Boogie points to Ashley and Ian to go up. So, if there was any doubt to
who is in an alliance, it’s now been busted. The Quack Pack didn’t last
long….
ROUND 5: Ian vs Ashley – Ian gets it right, and
chooses Dan and Brittany. They are all idiots thinking that Boogie and
Frank have their backs….
ROUND 6: Dan vs Brittany – Brittany gets the
answer right, and she finally puts up Frank and Boogie!!
ROUND 7: Frank vs Boogie – I am so glad Frank
won this one. I hope Boogie pays for being so arrogant and ringing in
before the song starts. I hope that their Bromance will come to a tragic
end soon!
ROUND 8: Brittany vs Ian – Brittany quickly
rings in with the right answer, and it appears that Ian would have been wrong
anyways.
FINAL ROUND – Brittany vs Frank – I am
automatically thinking the song will be HOH (the second competition) as there
haven’t been any other competitions. Oops I was wrong, as there were
apparently a few more competitions I had forgotten. And Frank wins…… If
only he would put up Boogie this week.
Well, my prediction is that Joe will definitely
go up for voting against Frank. It’s an easy excuse, and he doesn’t seem
to be popular in the house. So what do you think about Frank staying and
winning HOH? Who do you think he will nominate? Does anyone out
there really like Boogie? Let me know!
